About the role Data Engineer

Dustin is building a state-of-art data platform using new technology and smooth processes. The focus for you as Data Engineer will be to get value from this data to the organization in the shape of reliable data solutions that automates and optimizes core business functions. Examples of this could be optimizing stock levels, setting correct prices, or optimizing content relevance for marketing. You will also ensure and continue the development of our data platform to enable value through data.

You will be part of a central team of data engineers that builds the common blocks needed whilst also using these blocks hands-on to build applications as part of cross-functional teams. We are a tight team that emphasizes testing new things and learning from each other and believe you should have a similar mindset.

Our stack is focused on Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory and Databricks. Python and SQL are the main languages.

About you

We think you are a eager person who is interested in addopting new technologies and solutions. A strong communicator who loves to solves problems.

And also important is

• Experience in a similar role
  
• Hands-on experience of cloud data platforms. Preferably Azure Data Lake, but knowledge with Google BigQuery, Snowflake or similar is also welcome
• You know SQL and Python, have experience of Spark, knows ETL as well as DevOps practices and CI/CD when it comes to data
• Due to the fact you have to collaborate with the Data & Insights team you are able to work from our office in Nijmegen
